In this role, you will play a key part in the tax advisory team while leading a small team of payroll consultants and act as the key specialist in wage tax and social security.
About the role
As Tax Manager, you will combine technical expertise with team leadership. Balanced with your general tax advisory role, you will develop the payroll team, engage proactively with clients, and navigate complex tax matters to deliver reliable, value-adding solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Manage and oversee tax engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective coordination within budget targets.
- Prepare and deliver tax advice that optimizes client outcomes and mitigates risks.
- Review client payrolls and ensure they comply with wage tax and social security legislation.
- Support clients during (wage) tax audits and handle expatriate calculations and related requests.
- Identify and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and strengthen the quality of our tax and payroll services.
- Coach and guide payroll team members to grow their skills and contribute to our department’s expertise.

Your profile:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in tax advisory or 7+ years in tax compliance.
- Knowledge of Celery or Caribbean payroll legislation is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to interpret wage tax legislation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Leadership and coaching abilities.
